Museum Holiday Hours
- The museum is closed on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The museum is open on Veterans Day to recognize our brave service members.
- During inclement weather, please call the museum at 816-234-1011 to confirm that we are open; the museum might need to close during hazardous weather conditions.
Tour Times
- Docent-led tours occur every half-hour, beginning at 10:00 AM.
- Last guided tour is at 2:30 PM; if you arrive after 2:30 PM, your tour will be limited to the main gallery if no museum guide is available to offer an expedited tour.
- A maximum of 90 minutes is allowed per tour. Should any guest(s) be visiting under time constraints, considerations may be made for an expedited tour, provided other guests within your group are willing to accommodate that request.
- The museum closes at 4:00 PM. All guests must exit the premises 15 minutes prior to closing to allow our volunteers to secure the museum and handle final transactions like gift shop purchases or last-minute entries.
