SPECIAL EVENTS AND WEDDINGS

Event Bookings

Updated on July 2024

All events, private or otherwise, will only be available after museum closing hours. Exceptions may be made for TWA Museum sanctioned events.

Celebrate your special event in the most historic building in Kansas City's aviation history. TWA’s first executive headquarters was located in New York City with Kansas City chosen as the home of its operational headquarters. To accommodate the latter, an impressive two-story structure, comprising mostly a large maintenance hangar (with accompanying workshop and office space) was constructed in 1931 at 10 Richards Road, on the grounds of the (then) Kansas City Municipal Airport. Still closely resembling its exterior appearance of over 90 years ago, 10 Richards Road today is a living monument to the history of Trans World Airlines and Kansas City. Its hangar and offices have been occupied by legends of aviation and industry including Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart and Howard Hughes. Our rich aviation history and museum exhibits will provide your guests with a unique experience during your wedding or special event.

Our event spaces are designed with versatility in mind and can accommodate various types of

events ranging anywhere from weddings, rehearsal dinners, intimate receptions, private parties, corporate meetings, conferences, product launches, screenings, performances, and more. All proceeds benefit the TWA Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
